      Named for Revolutionary War hero General Thomas Sumter, the Sumter community boasts 26 area golf courses, the world-famous Iris Gardens and Shaw Air Force Base, home of the 20th Fighter Wing, as well as scenic parks, campgrounds and cultural events.

      Traveling from I-95
      Exit onto US-378 West and proceed to Sumter. Take 76-378 Bypass West toward Columbia. Merge onto Broad Street Extension and turn left onto Wilson Hall Road at the second light. Proceed one mile to the four-way stop sign and turn right onto Carter Road. Covenant Place is one-half mile on the right.

      Traveling from Columbia
      Take 76-378 East. As you approach Sumter, Shaw Air Force Base is on the left. Travel 5.8 miles from the base's main entrance to Wilson Hall Road. Turn right onto Wilson Hall Road. Proceed one mile to the four-way stop sign and turn right onto Carter Road. Covenant Place is one-half mile on the right.
